Historical Society of North Topsail | North Topsail, NC

Created by a group of local business owners looking to bring a recreation center to our community, the Historical Society of North Topsail was formed. Today it houses the Missiles and More Museum.

The Historical Society of Topsail Island is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with close to 400 members.

Share the Table | Hampstead, NC

Working to fight hunger in our area, Share the Table is on a mission to "Respond to God’s call to nourish our community by providing food where there is hunger, fellowship where there is loneliness, and education to end the cycle of food insecurity."

Share the Table, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization supported by seven charter churches, community churches, civic organizations, and local businesses in Pender and Onslow Counties in North Carolina. Through their free community meals, food pantry, and school backpack program, Share the Table feeds over 1,000 local residents per week.

Christian Community Caring Center | Hampstead, NC

This local Food Pantry is on a mission to "serve Christ by providing healthy, nutritious food to our  neighbors in need in Eastern Pender County and beyond." The organization prides themselves on serving cheerfully with a welcoming attitude and lack of judgment.

The 4C's center is a 501c(3) non-profit organization aimed to minister to the human needs in the name of Christ and to offer assistance to the needy in Eastern Pender County.

Topsail Island Shoreline Protection | Surf City, NC

This Protection Commission is a collobrative group comprised of a number of local towns and counties.

They exist to:

  • Educate our property owners regarding beach nourishment and the North Carolina Beach & Inlet Management Plan.
  • Support and promote funding at the Federal, State, County, and local levels for beach nourishment and storm protection of our shoreline.
  • Encourage maintenance of dunes through sound vegetation management practices on our beaches.
  • Promote the routine maintenance of area historical and federal navigation channels, including the Atlantic Intracoastal Water Way, and the placement of appropriate corresponding dredge spoils on our beaches.
  • Promote the maintenance and restoration of nesting habitat for birds and endangered sea turtles.

Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism | Surf City, NC

A local resource to bridge business and community, the Chamber exisits to help it's members succeed and bring heart to the towns. With a calendar full of events, classes, and local meetings, the Greater Topsail Area Chamber is sure to have something helpful for your business or family. They even have a Local Area Guide available to view online or request a physical copy mailed to you.

The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center

This unique non-profit is working hard to protect the sea turtles on the beaches in our area. Their conservation work is authorized by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Did you know you can tour their facility?

Their Mission Statement is made of 4 parts: 
-To conserve and protect all species of marine turtles, both in the water and on the beach;
-To rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured sea turtles;
-To inform and educate the public regarding the plight of all sea turtles and the threat of their extinction; and
-To provide an experiential learning site for students of biology, wildlife conservation, and/or veterinary medicine from around the world.
